Our superstores are designed to provide technical services as well as a vast array of equipment to both the first time hobbyist and ultimate aquatic specialist. Big Al’s Shark Tank and SHARK FEEDING FRENZY are one of the most anticipated weekly attractions of these exciting fish-rooms. Big Al's sales and service staff are eager to extend their knowledge and expertise to our customers to help make their shopping experience as pleasant and educational as possible. We continually expand our Aquatic Care division to provide you with essential services, which include but are not limited to new aquarium installations, aquarium maintenance and cleaning, and troubleshooting.

Charities

The Harness Horse Youth Foundation

Big Al's is proud to sponsor the Harness Horse Youth Foundation. The Harness Horse Youth Foundation established in 1976, addresses youth education throughout Canada and the U.S.A. A non-profit organization, the Foundation continues to enlarge and improve its programs. Mission Statement: To provide young people information and experiences with harness horses. Harness Racing Youth League - summer camps at which kids between the ages of 11 and 13, are given the opportunity to learn from the ground up about horses including how to drive a racehorse.

The ADE Project

ADE, or Aquaculture Development for the Environment, is a nonprofit organization based in the US and Fiji that is dedicated to the conservation and restoration of coral reefs both within Fiji and around the world.

The Mission

ADE's mission is to fund and provide education, training, and capacity building efforts for reef restoration projects at the community level, all while creating new and innovative ways for future projects to achieve self-sufficiency. The ADE project achieves this by bolstering sustainable management and conservation of marine ecosystems across the world, evolving and expanding aquaculture and mariculture methods to help protect the environment, and contributing to local rural communities with education and financial support.

The Objective

To promote awareness, conservation, and sustainable management of global marine ecosystems through the development of aquaculture and coral reef restoration, creating local economic opportunities while ensuring food security and creating a platform for scientific research.
