When placed in an area of the pond where there is steady water flow, the barley pellets will slowly degrade and emit a natural substance similar to hydrogen peroxide, which retards algal growth and effectively cleans and polishes the pond water.
Nature's Choice Barley Straw Pellets are better and work faster within a pond environment than actual barley bails. By grinding and pelletizing the barley, the breakdown time is significantly reduced when compared to barley in bail form. Nature's Choice can be applied in skimmer units, filter units, waterfalls, or any other area with continuous water movement.
