Themed Aquarium Inspiration
In an effort to spend more time together, a group of wild Australian mates formed a dive group. To the dismay of their wives, they went fishing, diving and surfing waves. One glorious sunny day on the New South Wales coast, the mates headed out for the day. After a few hours on the waves with no luck catching anything, they decided to go for a dive. They were desperate to find something cool to report home to their sheilas. Little did they know they were about to stumble upon rare gems.
Equipped with waterproof cameras and GoPros, the group split up to see what they could find. Views of colourful fish, ancient turtles and vibrant coral never get old. However, that alone would not impress the girls much.
Suddenly, a sound came over their communicators to indicate someone had found something. They quickly located the captain, who pointed out a vivid violet coral. Several solitary corals could be seen through the crystal-clear water. The mates took their photos and their memories, leaving nothing behind.
When they returned to shore, excitement still bubbling from the day, they identified the coral as an incredibly rare, exceptionally slow-growing species that had not been seen in those waters in 50 or more years. Their better halves were delighted and dazzled by the discovery. However, the mates knew the only rare gems that truly mattered were each other.
The lush, plentiful greenery, along with the open brain and candy coral ornaments, provides hiding places, stress-free retreats and breeding areas for fish. Although incredibly lifelike, the ornaments are artificial, making the detailed decorations suitable for both saltwater and freshwater aquariums. They provide the vivid colour and appearance of coral without the maintenance requirements of living coral.
The fine sand substrate featured along the bottom is also well suited for introducing a wide variety of aquatic plants and creates an ideal foraging environment for bottom-dwelling species.
