Specially designed to maximize UV transmission, the Aquatop IL5-UV is a compact and energy-efficient in-line ultraviolet sterilizer for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It employs a 5 W germicidal-grade UV lamp to eradicate free-floating microorganisms and disease-causing pathogens that can threaten the well-being of your system. The IL5-UV also prevents unwanted algae blooms, leaving you with crystal clear water and a cleaner and healthier aquarium.
The multi-functional IL5-UV can be installed in-line with your existing plumbing or as a hang-on unit (mounting bracket and hardware included). Simply connect it to the return line of your filter for in-line use or combine it with an appropriately rated water pump or powerhead (up to 105 gph - sold separately) for hang-on applications. Includes 5/8", 3/4", and 1" barbed fittings to accomodate a variety of setups.
