Hagen Tropican Alternative Formula - Parrots is a unique soy-free daily diet that has been scientifically formulated to provide alternative sources of protein and energy for a wide variety of parrot species such as Caiques, Pionus, Amazons, Macaws, Cockatoos and African Greys. Ideal for birds struggling with dietary issues and elderly parrots, the formula has a high fat content and is composed of peas and quinoa which are excellent sources of protein and incredibly easy on the stomach and digestive system as well as bentonite clay (montmorillonite) which contributes greatly to improved dietary health. Other ingredients such as marigold provides lutein for improved eye health and pumpkin seeds, maple sugar, cranberries and sweet potatoes for an irresistible taste your feathered friends will flock to.
The extruded 4 mm granules will not explode into a powder, but retain their consistency to provide more nutrients and less waste than competitive products. Additionally, the varied, crunchy morsels contain vitamin E for healthy skin and help strengthen beaks and encourage natural foraging behaviour.
