Clear Fx Pro is an advanced all-in-one filter media. Ideal for use in freshwater, saltwater, and reef systems, this easy-to-use media is a comprehensive and reliable solution for aquarium hobbyists of all skill levels. The proprietary blend combines a super carbon, hybrid phosphate resin, and an organic scavenger resin. It quickly and effectively removes organic pollutants while leaving behind essential trace elements to keep your aquarium clean, clear, and healthy for months at a time.
Simply place the mesh bag in a high flow area of your canister or standard sump filtration system. Clear Fx Pro removes odors, tannins, phenols, gases, pollutants, CO2, phosphates, silicates, copper, metals, and nitrogenous organic waste. It also removes contaminants and irritants that can be harmful to coral, compounds that carbon cannot remove on its own, light blocking impurities, and organics that lower oxygen levels and degrade water quality. Other benefits include sitimulating coral and plant growth, stabilizing pH, a significant increase in Redox (ORP), and an overall reduction in regular aquarium maintenance.
Granular Activated Carbon (GAC): Clear Fx Pro is formulated with a coal-based, granular activated carbon (the hardest available carbon that is viable for use in water). The durability and generous surface area allow Clear Fx Pro to resist deterioration and last longer. Lastly, thanks to an extremely low ash content, the use of Clear Fx Pro will not result in lateral line disease or hole in head among your aquarium inhabitants.
Hybrid Phosphate Removing Resin: Clear Fx Pro empoys a new hybrid resin that is more effective than Granular Ferric Oxide phosphate removers commonly found in other medias. The spherical beaded structure prevents clumping and clogging. This high capacity resin absorbs phosphates in half the time as GFO, and will not release phosphates back into your system after reaching maximum capacity.
Organic Scavenger Resin The organic scavenger resin found in Clear Fx Pro attracts organic matter within your aquarium to control ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels. The macro-porous composition of this resin is more resistant to clogging than competing brands. It works in conjunction with the Granular Activated Carbon to create a healthy, clear, and stable aquatic environment.
225 ml treats 50 gallons of freshwater and 25 gallons of saltwater. Clear Fx Pro has a freshwater lifespan of 6 months and a saltwater lifespan of 4 months. Aquariums with heavy bio-loads should have the media changed more frequently.
