CaribSea Rhyzomat Root Mats

The CaribSea RhyzoMat is an original and natural fiber mat that is ideal for aquariums featuring live plants. Live plants can make a world of difference for the health and aesthetics of home aquariums, but "floaters" can easily ruin even the most carefully-laid planted aquarium plans. To solve this, simply lay a RhyzoMat down at the bottom of your aquarium, then top it with substrate. This natural fiber mat will help anchor plants by their roots as they grow, keeping them solidly in the substrate. Once the plant is rooted, the RhyzoMat aids in establishing a healthy rhizosphere for your plants, creating a complex system where minerals, healthy bacteria, clays, fungal symbionts and more can flourish.
