The Coralife Cone Skimmer 75 is a high-performance foam fractionator designed with a patented needle-wheel impeller and aspirating venturi. It effectively removes dissolved organic compounds from reef and saltwater aquarium water. The advanced cone-shaped design concentrates the foam as it rises, resulting in more efficient skimming.
Surface-to-surface interaction between water and air bubbles is maximized lower in the column where the micro-bubbles attach to the organic proteins in your aquarium water. As the bubbles rise, the cone shape naturally concentrates the foam at the top, reducing the amount of water between air bubbles to produce a drier and more productive skimmate in the collection cup. The wide bubble diffusion plate uniformly disperses bubbles at the core of the reaction chamber. Multiple holes ensure bubbles are spread across the entire skimmer column allowing for maximum bubble-to-water exposure.
The Cone Skimmer's efficient and reliable Posi-Flow pump is conveniently nestled in the skimmer base. This reduces the footprint, while maintaining quiet operation. The pump and needle-wheel impeller can be easily accessed by simply removing the venturi inlet and skimmer base. Use the water adjustment dial to easily stabilize water flow within the reaction chamber. The dual air inlets and silencer allow for quiet, precise bubble production control.
