The diffuser makes use of carefully engineered diffuser material that includes an optimized airspace which results in greatly enhanced color mixing as well as providing a more pleasing light appearance. The diffuser also helps to eliminate "spotlight" light, which essentially just beams hyper-intense LED light directly into the tank, instead blending it together and dampening the intensity to create more realistic illumination that disperses across the tank with greater uniformity, while minimally reducing the PAR output by only 25%.
