Used on a rotational basis, it can even be used to treat multiple aquariums.
The QuietFlow UV9 is truly a plug-and-play unit. It is ready for action right out of the box, and comes equipped with an internally-mounted feed pump that doesn't require priming. To best suit the intended application, the pump's flow rate can be easily adjusted to enable fine-tuning of the water "dwell time". The minimum dose setting is ideal for controlling green water algae, while the maximum dose setting increases UV exposure to eliminate disease-causing pathogens.
To ensure user safety at all times, the cULus listed UV9 incorporates a foolproof safety switch. This thoughtful feature prevents the UV lamp from being activated while the unit is opened and accidental UV exposure is possible. When it is time for cleaning, maintenance or lamp replacement, quick-release tabs make disassembling the UV9 is a breeze. The front half of the UV chamber can be removed, providing convenient access to the u-shaped quartz sleeve, polished reflectors, and UV lamp.
