Hikari Saki-Hikari Koi Multi-Season, medium sized floating pellets are specially created in order to feed Kois living in lower temperature water environments, down to a minimum of 50 degrees Fahrenheit. These pellets provide your fish with the proper amount of nutrition and carotenoids in order to achieve optimal growth and coloration, while a source of live naturally occurring microorganisms (probiotics) from highly palatable ingredients and from a segment of the wheat-germ kernel work together to support their intestines for regular digestion in lower temperatures. Irregular feeding of these pellets will prevent the exsisting probiotics from thriving which will not continue to support the healthy intestinal bacteria. It is important to know that the lower the temperature in your Koi's environment, the less they should be fed. The desired water temperature for optimal results is approximately 54 degrees Fahrenheit; however, if your water temperature is:

  • Above 64 degrees Fahrenheit - Feed 4 times daily (depending on activity level)
  • Between 54-64 degrees Fahrenheit - Feed 2-4 times daily (depending on activity level)
  • Between 41-54 degrees Fahrenheit - Feed strictly according to activity level (do not overfeed)
  • Below 41 degrees Fahrenheit - Stop feeding at once
