Tetra Parasite Guard Tablets

Fight parasites in your aquarium with Tetra Parasite Guard Tablets from Big Al's Pets. The tablets effectively remove external and internal parasites from tropical fish. They work on flukes, internal worms, lice, anchor worms and flagellates including hexamita and spironucleus, which are typically associated with hole-in-head disease. The tablets also work to protect fish from secondary infections. Each tablet treats up to 10 gallons of water. The fast-dissolving tablets are premeasured for convenience and go to work quickly. Each package contains 8 tablets which is enough to treat up to 80 gallons of tank water.

Symptoms of Parasites:

Fish owners should suspect parasites if fish are thin, weak or listless. They may appear to swim aimlessly, dart wildly around the tank or twitch as if they are having spasms. Mucus at the gills is another positive indicator for a parasite infection. External parasites may cause fish to hold their fins close to their bodies or in a closed position. Fish may rub against objects in the tank and red spots may appear on the fins. Bumps or worm-like objects may be visibly present on the fish in more advanced infestations.
