Made from biodegradable polymers, Two Little Fishies NPX Bioplastics granular plastic media is designed for use in fluidized media reactors or enclosed in a media bag within any filter. The slow release of organic food from these plastics promotes the development of bacteria that assimilate nitrate and phosphate. These bacteria can be harvested by protein skimmers to effectively and naturally reduce nitrate and phosphate levels in your aquarium. The bacteria also provide a food source for filter-feeding invertebrates such as clams, corals, feather dusters, and sponges.
