As flow and circulation are absolutely critical in maintaining a healthy aquatic ecosystem, aquarists need a product that is both easy to use, and incredibly effective. The pumps uses a variety of programmed flow patterns to create a natural gyre, carefully circulating water around your aquarium without causing "hot spots" that can potentially damage sensitive coral. To make this device even safer for both aquarists and fish, the VorTech MP10 features a magnetically coupled designed which eliminates the risk of dangerous electrical discharge, unsightly wires in the aquarium and unwanted heat added to the water column.

The versatile, easy to install prop pump comes with a wide variety of functional flow modes to compliment any custom aquarium set up. The Lagoon Mode offer gentle, slow flows found inside of quiet lagoons and the crashing waves and rolling tides of open water reef environments are found with Reef Crest Mode. Gyre, Short Pulse and Tidal Swell modes provide a variety of clockwise/counter clockwise, pulsing, rapid and chaotic flows that offer both natural flow patterns found in different aquatic ecosystems. For delicate corals, the Nutrient Transport Mode circulates water using a two-phase program that firsts stirs up settled detritus and debris followed by a powerful surging flow that pushes this debris into the filter and out of the aquarium. This helps to improve water quality and coral development by supporting nutrient export and optimal circulation. Additional feed modes and night modes will pause the flow during feeding so food doesn't immediately get sucked back into the filter, and night modes slows down the flow replicating calm, night time conditions.

Each pump comes equipped with state of the art Mobius technology, a comprehensive, easy to understand app that allows aquarists to control everything about the VorTech; flow patterns, scheduling, speed, power and more, right from the palm of their hand. The unit boasts a powerful flow rate of 2,500 GPH, an energy efficient power consumption of 19 watts and can be used on glass with a maximum thickness of 9.5mm (0.375"). Ideal for marine aquariums between 2.5 - 50 gallons in size.
