The Zoo Med ReptiSun Mega Compact Fluorescent UVB Lamp is a top of the line self-ballasted fluorescent lamp that provides UVB, UVA and visible light. The compact, yet powerful lamp has been designed to meet the daily needs of larger reptiles such as Sulcata Tortoises, Iguanas, Tegus, Monitors, Uromastyx, Water Dragons, Chuckwallas, Frilled Dragons, some Marginated, Russian and Redfoot Tortoises.
The light itself has also been engineered with a unique shape that allows for the most efficient, wide-ranging output. UVB light ensures your reptilian pet has healthy bones, and prevents or halts the progression of Metabolic Bone Disease, a common, lethal disease of poorly housed captive reptiles. UVA light helps to increase activity, appetite and reproductive behaviours, while also being part of the visible light spectrum for reptiles; as without UVA, reptiles are colourblind! There is usable UVB up to 42" away, making it perfect for large, spacious enclosures. Provides 65 watts of power.
