The Aquatop PF-UV15 is a high-performance power filter designed for freshwater and marine applications. Suitable for aquariums up to 15 gallons in size, it features fully adjustable flow control for added versatility and a maximum flow rate of 64 gph. The PF-UV15 boasts five highly effective stages of filtration, including a fully integrated UV sterilizer with independent power supply (an industry first!). Ready to go right out the box, this energy-efficient power filter includes all media and equipment necessary to deliver crystal clear water and a healthier aquarium.
Stage 1 - Mechanical Filtration - The included filter cartridge features an outer layer made from a strong poly fiber. This dense material provides effective mechanical filtration by trapping debris and particulate matter such as uneaten food, fish waste, etc.
Stage 2 - Chemical Filtration - The included filter cartridge is packed with Aquatop's premium bamboo carbon. It provides effective chemical filtration by eliminating unwanted discoloration, odors, and impurities in your aquarium water.
Stage 3 - Biological Filtration - The PF-UV15 comes complete with ultra-porous ceramic rings, which are an ideal cultivation site for beneficial bacteria. Once established, these bacterial colonies provide effective bioliogical filtration by eliminating toxic ammonia and nitrite.
Stage 4 - Surface Skimmer - The PF-UV15 features a self-adjusting surface skimmer built into its intake manifold. It effectively removes dust, oils, and organic films from the water's surface, while promoting proper gas exchange for a healthier aquarium.
Stage 5 - Ultraviolet Sterilizer - The PF-UV15 features a fully integrated UV sterilizer. It employs a 5 W germicidal-grade UV-C lamp to eradicate free-floating microorganisms and disease-causing pathogens. It also eliminates and prevents nuisance algae blooms.
To ensure effortless installation, the near-silent PF-UV15 features a flexible hang-on design and requires no additional plumbing to operate. Compatible with aquarium rims up to 3/4". A built-in leveler allows you to adjust how the unit sits against the aquarium wall.
