The new Rena SmartFilters have been designed to provide superior triple filtration by pumping the water through a four-sided Bio-Chem Zorb filter cartridge, that provides both superior mechanical & chemical filtration, and then travels through the bio basket tower system, which is filled with Bio-Chem Stars to provide superior biological filtration. This revolutionary hang-on-the-back filter features a drip-free caddy, a completely removable motor rack, and flow control knob for ease of cleaning & maintenance. The Dosing Port allows for liquid treatments and conditioners to be added with out removing the filter top. Up to 20 Gallons (80 GPH). The manufacturer recommends this filter for both freshwater and saltwater applications.
